No! The Excel skills taught in this course are transferable no matter the sector of retail. Samantha the course creator has been on buying teams that purchased fashion accessories, leather jackets, shoes, home decor, confection, baby food, diapers and souvenirs.
While the course is compatible with mobile devices and tablets. We would highly recommend using a computer to complete the practice assignments and final assignments in Excel.
This course was created on a Mac. If you are using a a Microsoft OS then the formula builder will be a pop up window and the ribbon/tabs will look a little different. The differences are only visual and should not effect your ability to work through the lessons.
Can I use Google Sheets? No, you must use Microsoft Excel. If you do not have Microsoft Excel you can download a 1 month free trial. See below for link.
Do I need Excel? YES! This is an Excel course. To get the most out of the content you are going to want to practice in Excel. We recommend using the application not the web-based version, because Retailers use the application. You can download a Microsoft 365, 1 month free trial to complete the course content.
